What is Body Art ?

Body Art or semi-permanent tattoo's are the result of demands by clients to have a tattoo that will not last forever, Body Art has been found to give clients small, tasteful fashionable stencils on their body, which will gradually fade with time. Body Art is today's most fashionable adornment. Much like fashion make-up. They are ELEGANT, STYLISH, FASHIONABLE, DECORATIVE.

Body decoration in the form of tattoo's has been with us for thousands of years with prehistoric man decorating his body with juices implanted using carved animal bones.

Train to be a technician and find it is not only financially lucrative, but enjoyable to offer clients Body Art, which can be offered as a stand-along business or incorporated within an existing centre offering allied treatment etc.

Procedure Information

Semi-permanent tattoo's are an art form. Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin which will fade gradually out of the skin

If the student has no recognised qualifications all theoretical and practical aspects must be covered in the course. This will be included in the work we provide and in the 20 hour pre-study homework. Classes are small with 1-2 trainees. Models are provided while you train at the training centre and you will have hands on experience of the procedures. After the completion of the course you will return for a one day assessment. If you are successful you are then offered malpractise insurance and receive you diploma.

Assessments

Students will be assessed for competence at course and post course and will have to provide 12 procedures with photographs when the course has been completed and will have to come back for an assessment day before issuing a certificate on completion and passing the course.

It is important to note that this is a skill that requires a steady hand and a very artistic eye. We will cover in great detail the theory as well as the practical side of micro pigmentation. Qualified therapists also often need to review their understanding of the skin structure and make-up skills. The course is designed to work at a pace that suits you
